Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder was born on Winona Minnesota. The parents of Winona Ryder chose her name after the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz' father was an author and editor, as were Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder's father and mother are both Jewish. Ryder believes herself to being Jewish.
