Whitney Houston and Dana Bash
Whitney Elizabeth Houston was born to a musically inclined family on the 9th of August, 1963, in Newark New Jersey the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston (nee Emily Lee Drinkard) and John Russell Houston Jr. and cousin of singing star Dionne Warwick. The mother of Whitney Houston and her daughter started singing professionally at New Hope Baptist Church in Newark when Whitney was only 15 years old. They sang the backing vocals in Chaka Khan's track from 1978 Im Every Woman. Then, she performed background vocals for Lou Rawls & Jermaine jackson and her mother. The vocals she sang with the New York-based group Material have attracted record companies of all sizes, including Arista. They signed her with Arista in 1983 where she spent the remainder of her professional career. In 1985, the debut of Whitney Houston was the best-selling debut album of all time. Her album featured several hits like How Will I Know You're Good to Me, Saving All My Love For you and The Greatest Love of All. It helped her achieve seven US chart-topping songs in succession which beat the Beatles. It sold three million copies during its initial year, and over 25 million worldwide. Her first six Grammy Awards. The Whitney sequel in 1987, featuring the singles Where Do Broken Hearts GO and I Wanna Dance With Somebody helped to further build upon the success of her first album. However, it was, the 1992 movie The Bodyguard that solidified her standing as one of the most loved artist. Although the film and her performance in it were not highly reviewed, the soundtrack album as well as her rendition of the Dolly Parton song I Will Always Love You was the top of the singles and albums charts for a period of time and sold over 44 million copies around the world. It was also in 1993 that she married Bobby Brown, an ex-New Edition singer who gave the sole child of her marriage, Bobbi Kristina Brown. Her daily use of drugs was documented.
Dana Bash or Dana Ruth Schwartz as she is more well-known, is an American anchorwoman reporter who also serves as CNN's political reporter. The anchorwoman produced a number of shows on weekends on the network, including Evans & Novak: Late Edition" and Inside Politics." She has previously worked for NBC as well as CBS. Bash was awarded many times as well as a spot on the Women in Washington Power List by Elle magazine. Known to possess incredible anchoring/reporting abilities, she is highly regarded by many young journalists in the field. Her only child is her pride and joy in life.
